This section of the website is dedicated to technical information about timber species and their applications.
The Species Guide lists common species; their names and properties. This guide will be updated periodically with new species.
The Downloadable Documents section contains technical bulletins on a range of topics which have been produced by TDA and other industry associations. Most of the brochures TDA has produced are available for download in digital format which together provide a comprehensive resource for all you timber-related questions.
The bushfire section is dedicated to designing and using timber in bushfire-prone areas. It provides a system of navigating complex legislation and regulations which differ from state to state. The flowcharts provide a visual representation of all the processes that you must go though to ensure you meet all the relevant requirements.
