The accreditation system to ensure quality flooring installation and finishing and build consumer confidence.
Get accredited and set yourself apart from the competition!
Note: This ticket is a statement of competency. It does not replace a Contractor’s License but it is available to both licensed contractors and non-licensed workers. If you are contracting to undertake building jobs please refer to Department of Fair Trading to see what your legal requirements are (www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au).
Timber Flooring Installation & Finishing Ticket The aim of the flooring ticket is to give specialist flooring installers and finishers an accreditation that acknowledges their specialist skills.
The benefit of this ticket is that it will allow the installer and finisher to be distinguished in the marketplace from people who do not have the same level of expertise and experience. Key suppliers and coatings suppliers will also be drawing from accredited flooring ticket holder’s names on our database which will be routinely distributed.
The benefit to the customers is that they will be able to choose accredited trades-people with complete confidence, knowing that they have been endorsed by the industry as having met the high standards required for accreditation.
This ticket does NOT replace your builders licence. It does however count towards your continuing professional development. As per correspondence from the Office of Fair Trading regarding the Continuing Professional Development Program (CPD), the website has now been launched for training providers to register and submit activities. www.citab.com.au –this is the construction industry training advisory board’s website. From this site there is a link to the office of fair trading.
