2007 Timber Design Awards Winners Announced

The Timber Development Association announced the winners of the 2007 Australian Timber Design Awards at a presentation night on November 29 in Melbourne. The overall winner was Hayball Leonard Stent for their Moonah Links Lodges. Various category winners were also announced - see below for a full list.

2007 has featured the largest field of entrants to the Timber Design Awards to date. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, the range of competition categories for 2007 is also larger than ever before.

The awards were presented at the National@Docklands, the National Australia Bank flagship building, in Melbourne. The audience represented a broad spectrum both of the timber design community and of the timber industry.

The Australian Timber Design Awards are the premier national timber design competition for the built environment professions. A wide range of entry categories highlights outstanding use of timber in a variety of applications. A separate category is available to students and entrants 30 and under.

If you have been involved in the design of an outstanding timber structure within the last 3 years – or know of someone who has – please consider entering the 2008 Australian Timber Design Awards. Entries will open in March next year.
